Terry Noonan, Vice President of R&D
and Chief Technology Officer

As EVault Vice President of R&D and Chief Technology Officer, Terry Noonan leads the company’s technology vision, architecture, and research and development. He also manages the company’s infrastructure, including operations, security, and IT.

Terry has over 20 years’ experience in executive and senior technical positions in the software industry. Most recently, he was VP of Products at Shavlik Technologies, where he was responsible for research and development and product management. Formerly, Terry was NetApp’s VP and Chief Architect for the Data Protection and Retention group, specifically focused on backup strategy. Prior to joining NetApp, he was at Symantec as CTO for the Security and Data Management Group, leading a team responsible for the product strategy, technical direction, and business development activities of a $2 billion business unit. At Veritas, before it was acquired by Symantec, Terry was CTO of the Data Management Group, responsible for the strategic direction of the Veritas data protection and archiving product lines.

Terry holds a B.S. degree in computer science from the University of Minnesota.
